Product Details

Founded in 1898 in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, Saucony, pronounced "sock a knee" as their old shoe boxes would say, was named after the Saucony Creek, an inspiration that is even represented in its logo which shows the its constant flow. Saucony has always been know for its impact on the sport of running, churning out staple styles over the decades that were right in competition with the other head honchos in the space. But you can't talk about the longevity of the brand without touching on the casual classics. Titans of the thicc sole, modes like the Jazz 81 and Shadow 6000 are unmatched when the goal is balancing retro styling approachable enough for the modern day.

Saucony spars with Albino and Preto in their martial arts and outdoor sport inspired collection, led off with a pair of Shadow 5000s. Living up to the rugged, hard-wearing sport of hand-to-hand-to-foot(?)-to elbow-to knee combat, famously similar to Twister, the collaborative sneaker features water resistant tooling, an embossed tatami rubber toe box, and a rugged speckled sole. With a colorway of black and shades of gray, you're working with equal parts 'bad to the bone' when this kick breaks the femur and understated, on a night out, away from the ring.
